Baumgartners open The Spot 06.02.10

Since leaving Morenci Chiropractic Center a few weeks ago, Dr. Josh Baumgartner hasn’t done much in the way of chiropractic care, but he and his wife, Jill, have been busier than ever.

Working with various contractors, the Baumgartners have rebuilt the interior of the former flower shop at the corner of Main and Summit streets to create The Spot, home of Baumgartner Chiropractic and the Nutritional Wellness Center.

“We’re going to focus on whole body wellness,” Dr. Baumgartner said, which includes weight loss classes and nutritional counseling in addition to chiropractic care.

Dr. Baumgartner said the building is deceivingly large.

“When you walk through the front door, you won’t recognize the place,” he said. “It’s a fresh new environment with a modern theme.”

The Baumgartners intend to schedule occasional health care seminars and they’ve talked about starting a daily “healthy lunch” session with prepackaged shakes. They sell Herbalife products.

Dr. Baumgartner has been practicing chiropractic care for nine years, more than six of those in his home town of Morenci. He looks forward to serving the community for many more years in his new location, he said.

“The most exciting part is that my wife and I are doing this together,” he said.

The Spot has open hours every day but Tuesday and Sunday. For more information, call 517/458-7768.
