Holly Sue Pennington and Jacob Matthew Goetz were united in marriage Jan. 1, 2010, at St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church in Adrian. Pastor David Koehler performed the ceremony. Special music was provided by organist Caitlin Keller.
Bridesmaids were sisters of the bride, Karla Stanton, of Manitou Beach, Mich.; Heather Schuster, of Berkey, Ohio; and Amy Pennington, of Toledo, Ohio.
Groomsmen were brothers of the groom, Lucas Goetz, of Blissfield; and Stephen and Joseph Goetz, both of Riga, Mich. Ushers were James Pennington, brother of the bride, of Lyons, and Paul Prielipp, cousin of the groom, of Britton, Mich.
Holly is the daughter of Gary and Luann Pennington of Fayette. She is a 2004 graduate of Evergreen High School and a 2006 graduate of Northwest State Community College. She is employed as an optician by Dr. Thomas Cable, O.D., Inc., in Morenci and Maumee, Ohio.
Jacob is the son of Jonathan and Karlene Goetz of Riga. He is a 2004 graduate of Blissfield High School, a 2006 graduate of Siena Heights University, and a 2008 graduate of the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering. He is employed as an inspector for the Lenawee County Drain Commission’s engineering department.
A reception followed the ceremony at the church.
After a honeymoon trip to Edisto Island, S.C., the couple has made their home in Blissfield.
