Tea Party rally set in Wauseon 03.24.10

A Fulton County Tea Party rally is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. April 17, at Wauseon’s Homecoming Park.

Tax-paying citizens across Northwest Ohio will meet to voice their concerns about increasing budget deficits and massive government expansion.

“This is not meant to be just an opportunity to wave clever signs, shake fists in the air and yell agreement with pointed criticisms only to go back home and wait for election day,” said John F. Weber, a local Tea Party organizer.

“This event is about being educated on what’s going on in Columbus and Washington and, more importantly, learning what we the concerned citizens can and must do to make a significant impact on our government’s fiscal policies. We, quite literally, cannot afford not to act.”

The event is billed as a non-partisan, grassroots event for those believing in the principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, free enterprise and individual liberty.

Congressman Bob Latta and State Attorney General candidate Steve Christopher will speak at the event, along with several local business leaders and private citizens.
