Mark your calendar early for this one. A close-up visit the Van-Dells doesn’t come around that off.
The popular oldies musical group will make an appearance May 1 at Fayette High School in a fund-raiser sponsored by Fayette Friends 4 the Fields, a group charged with creating athletic fields at the new school.
The Van-Dells put on their letter sweaters to perform a high-energy review of songs from the 1950s and 60s, such as “Rock this town” and “Morse Code of Love.”
It’s more than the music, however, when the Van-Dells hit the stage. Their overall show is what keeps them in demand in venues across the country. Comedy, choreography and tight harmonies are all part of the performance.
The group is particularly popular in this area since Duke (Stacy Todd) is a Delta, Ohio, native.
The show is scheduled at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 1. Reserved seats on the floor will sell for $25, $22 and $18. General admission seats in the bleachers will cost $15. Tickets will go on sale March 1.
