GED testing offered 09.10.09

Posted in 2009 Sept.

GED testing is available through the Lenawee ISD for those who have not received a high school diploma.

The GED (General Educational Development Test) consists of five tests which measure achievement in subject areas associated with a high school program of study: reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies.

The GED certificate is recognized by potential employers, community colleges, and universities.

In order to take the tests, a candidate must be at least 18 years old and his or her high school class must have already graduated.

The GED testing site was formerly located at the LISD TECH Center but is now at the LISD William J. Ross Education Service Center, 4107 N. Adrian Hwy. (M-52) which is north of the TECH Center.

Testing dates this month are Sept. 21, 22, and 23. Registration closes September 17. Each test costs $25.
