Posted in 2009 July

The annual Fulton County Air Tour is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 1, at the Fulton County Airport located at 9460 County Road 14, north of County Road J.   A rain date is scheduled Aug. 8.

Flights will last approximately 20 minutes and planes have a seating capacity of three or five passengers.  Participants may choose the direction of their flight and may fly over their home and farm or other areas of interest. Participants are urged to bring a camera and take pictures of their homes and farms from the air.

Conservation of the land is easily spotted from the air and this is a good time of year to see it.

No reservations are taken. Flights cost $15 a person.

The Life Flight helicopter will be available for viewing, if it is not needed for an emergency. Zion United Methodist Church will serve breakfast and lunch from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

This event is sponsored by the Fulton Soil and Water Conservation District, Fulton County Airport, Quick Flight, Falor Farm Center, Air BP Fuels, Dave’s Sand & Stone, Joe Short Insurance Agency, Larry Rychener Excavating, Countryside Farms Drainage (Steve Schmitz) and Nofziger Farm Service.
