Bach siblings meet up 4.22.09

Joe and Thomas Bach, Retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officers, met their sister, Navy Yeoman Chief Petty Officer Gena M. (Bach) Sproul upon her return from Balad, Iraq.

The reunion took place April 4 at the Navy Construction Battalion Base in Gulfport, Miss. Gena departed for Iraq in September 2008 and finished her tour of duty April 1.

Joe, currently employed as the Operations Program Analyst for Navy Casualty Assistance Division, Millington,  Tenn., served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 until his retirement in 1990. Thomas, currently a shift supervisor with Home Depot, served in the U. S. Navy from 1981 until his retirement in 2005.

Gena has been a member of the U.S. Navy for 15 years and was on leave of absence from her civilian job at the California University of Pennsylvania.

She was also met by her husband, Jack, son, John, and daughter, Bonnie. John will leave for Recruit Training with the U. S. Navy on July 22.

Gena is the youngest daughter of  Gerald J., Sr., and Lucy Bach of  Morenci.
