Jason Peck and Joanie Vanlerberg were united in marriage Oct. 25, 2008, at the Morenci United Methodist Church. Rev. Richard Burstall performed the ceremony.wedding.peck.jpg

Matrons of honor were sisters of the bride, Julie Alward of Durand, Mich. and Jennifer Blaker of Morenci. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride Kylie Long of Morenci, Amy Pettit of Adrian, Cindie Trevillian of Naples, Fla. and Maureca Wolf of Portland, Mich. Flower girls were cousin of the groom, Hailey Wolf, of Portland, Mich. and cousin of the bride, Ava Loomis, of Hillsdale, Mich.

Cousin of the groom, Justin Wolf, of Portland, Mich. served as best man. Groomsmen were brother-in-law of the groom, Nate Boyers of Leslie, Mich. and friends of the groom, Chris Ryman and Randy Plum both of Waldron, Eric Baker of Richmond, Va. and Jerred Parkhurst of Adrian. Ushers were brothers-in-law of the bride, Jake Blaker of Morenci and Derrick Alward of Durand, Mich. Ring bearers were nephews of the bride, Owen Blaker of Morenci and Darrin Alward of Durand, Mich. and cousins of the groom Dylan and Dustin Wolf of Portland, Mich.

A reception, hosted by the bride’s uncle and aunt, Don and Shirley Myers, followed the ceremony in the Junior Fair building in Wauseon, Ohio.

Joanie is the daughter of David and Kathy Vanlerberg of Morenci. She graduated from Morenci Area High School in 1999. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education in 2004 from Central Michigan University and will graduate in May 2009 with a masters degree in education from Siena Heights University. She is employed by Hillsdale community Schools as a sixth grade math teacher.

Jason is the son of Brenda Peck of Waldron and Stan Peck of Pittsford, Mich. He graduated from Waldron High School in 1999 and is employed at Adrian Steel Co.

After a honeymoon trip to Mexico the couple has made their home in Waldron.
