Fayette High School’s quiz league team started the Northern Buckeye Academic League (NBAL) Quiz season at home Monday and recorded a pair of losses.
Pettisville scored a 57-16 win against Fayette and Wauseon won 56-27. Pettisville also defeated Wauseon, 45-38.
Other league teams are Archbold, Bryan, Defiance, Evergreen, Liberty Center, Napoleon, Patrick Henry, Delta and Swanton.
League meets are scheduled at 4 p.m. Mondays at various locations. The league tournament is planned March 6 at Northwest State Community College.
Questions include information from American literature, mathematics, world history, fine arts, life science, English literature, U.S. government, physical science, world geography and U.S. history.
The public is invited to attend the meets.
Fayette faced Bryan and Napoleon Monday at Bryan. Future meets are scheduled Jan. 26 at Liberty Center, with Defiance also participating; Feb. 2 at Bryan with Swanton and Patrick Henry also participating; Feb. 9 at Fayette, with Archbold and Evergreen participating; and Feb. 23 at Liberty Center to face Delta.
