Morenci residents warned about snow removal 12.31.08

Posted in 2008 December

Snowfall last week left many unshoveled sidewalks in Morenci. City administrator/clerk Renée Schroeder reminds residents that walks must be cleared or the property owner could face a financial penalty.

If snow falls or drifts onto sidewalks during the night, walks must be cleared by noon. When snow falls during the day, sidewalks must be cleared by noon the following day.

If walks are not cleared as specified in the ordinance, the city superintendent has the option to have city workers shovel the walk and the property owner will be billed for the cost.
