Morenci Area High school students can immerse themselves in dessert preparation and table decorations in a weekly series that started yesterday and continues on Tuesdays through Dec. 2, with dessert making scheduled for Dec. 11.

The program culminates in producing desserts and tablescapes for the Drama Club’s Dec. 13 dinner and theatre presentation of “The Three Gifts.”

Professional cake decorator Mary Johnson will lead a “Decorating with Frosting and Chocolate” session Tuesday, Nov. 18 at about 3 p.m. at Stair Public Library.

Students will work on posters in the high school art room on Nov. 25 and head back to the library at 3 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 2 for a program on food presentation.

Baking and decorating is scheduled at the high school after school on Dec. 11.

The meetings will last for about an hour. Students must register in advance for the meetings by signing up at either the high school or at Stair Public Library (call 458-6510 or stop in during regular hours: Monday and Wednesday 10 a.m to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 1 to 5 p.m.; and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.).
