Summer Reading Program 7.2

Posted in 2008 July

Morenci area children should be sure to visit Stair Public Library this week to check out books and read, read, read, as well as feast their eyes on the vibrant variety of illustrations in children’s books.

But, there will not be a Summer Reading Program session today. The “Arty Party! Arts and Entertainment resumes next week  at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, when madcap storyteller Adam Mellema’s effervescent performance brings creativity, connection, and charisma to the stage.

Young and old alike around the country have embraced Adam’s folktales, original works, and “spontaneous audience tales.” In stories peppered with colorful characters, Adam shares his love for reading, self-expression, and imagination. Don’t miss this accomplished, youthful teller described as “an energetic, gifted performer who has a wonderful grasp of expressive language” by the Grand Rapids Press.
