United Way distribute free prescription drug cards 7.11

Posted in 2007 July

Lenawee United Way is offering Family Wize prescription drug cards for families who have insufficient or no prescription drug coverage. The cards are available at Mike’s Pharmacy in Morenci as well as at other pharmacies throughout the county.

Family Wize cards will save an average of 20 percent on prescription drugs, with higher savings on generic brands. All family members living in a household are covered and there is no age limit. The card may not be used with any other prescription card.

Most pharmacies in the county have agreed to accept the discount cards. A complete list of participating pharmacies may be found at www.familywize.com, where cards may also be downloaded and printed.

The cards are donated at no cost to the organizations, agencies and companies distributing the cards, and there is no cost to those receiving the cards. The cards expire in 2011.

The discount drug cards are offered by Lenawee United Way and several of its partner agencies, courtesy of Family Wize and Membership Services Corporation of Bethlehem, Pa.
