Precipitation in May light 6.6

Posted in 2007 June

Everything that May lacked in the rain department is showing up in June.

“We ended up with only about two and a half inches of rain last month,” said George Isobar, climate observer in Morenci. “That’s 1.3 inches below normal. That’s not so much for May when everything is starting to grow.”

There were only six days with measurable rainfall, he added, making for a rather sunny month.

In the first four days of June, an inch and three-quarters of precipitation was already measured.
