I would like to thank all of the Seneca Township voters who came out and voted to repeal the wind turbine ordinance.
It would not have been possible without the support and encouragement we received from everyone who was involved—those who signed the petition to get it placed on the ballot; those who placed a sign in your yard; all the people who informed others why the need for a more protective ordinance was necessary; the IICC for their help; and the people who were and still are the Seneca Concerned Citizens.
I would encourage more people to attend the regular township board meetings. They are held at 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month at the Seneca Township Hall. You can also write a letter to our township officials and let them know that you would like to see a more protective ordinance similar to Riga or Fairfield’s put into place.
I would also suggest attending the planning commission meetings. They are held once every three months. The next meeting is at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 5. It is also at the township hall.
