2012.07.25 Thomas Pobanz: Don't listen to turbine naysayers

Posted in Letters

I have nieces and nephews who go to Fayette school and they are a lot closer to the wind turbine and they can’t hear it when it’s running. Also my brother-in-law and sister-in-law who live west of the turbine say it’s quiet. So I would suggest going and seeing for yourself.

Where would we be if the Wright brothers, Henry Ford and Thomas Edison listened to the nay-sayers who said if we were meant to fly we’d have wings, the car would scare the horses and electricity would kill us all because of the radiation light bulbs and electricity gave off.

Who knows, maybe the people who don’t want turbines are not going to profit from them.
