2012.07.04 Danny Schoonover: Wind turbines not a good choice for Seneca

Written by David Green. Posted in Letters

I know how easily it is to become complacent about your surroundings, especially in a peaceful, tranquil area such as the Morenci area.  This should be a no-brainer: “NO” vote for these wind turbines.  They totally destroy the silence and rural appearance of the area, and take away what people living here now enjoy every day without even thinking about it.

I come “home” to visit when I get the chance and cannot even imagine having the area inundated with these things.  The few dollars that the land owners receive to have these turbines placed on their land, even though everyone could use the extra income, certainly would not be worth the destruction of the tranquility that everyone living here enjoys either consciously or subconsciously every single day of their lives.
