In response to the Observer story “Recalls sought against two Seneca officials,” there are always two sides of a story. Up to this point, the Morenci paper has addressed only one, that being the side given by the Seneca Township resident who has applied to the township for a permit to run a business in her home. The applicant does not seem to be satisfied with the result of the township decisions, which has been ongoing since September 2008, so a recall drive is underway.
I have been to five Seneca Township meetings since that time where the bulk of the meeting has been to address this one applicant’s issue. It is understandable that the two ladies and the three gentlemen at the head table at the Trustee meeting might get frustrated, after addressing the same issue over an over. They were however, not “rude and disrespectful” to anyone.
I urge people to get both sides of the story before they sign a recall petition that is unjustified.
