2009.02.11 Leon Shulters: Country has gone to Hell, etc.

Our big problem in the United States today is the government and the high cost of advertising has broke the middle class population.

The high price of advertisement has run the price of products way out of reach for most working people. Wages are low, prices are high.

We have gone crazy on sports, TV, celebrity and news media wage. All these high wages come from products the people buy. Cut out the high cost of advertisement and bring the cost of the product down. Jobs shipped overseas, there’s no work.

It’s a little late on bringing mortgage rates down; no jobs, no money. With all the supposedly high educated people in government, they sure have done a beautiful job of sinking the good old United States of America.

Digital TV, it is the law. Are we under communist law now?

The Republicans didn’t hesitate to give AIG Insurance Company, Fannie May and Freddie Mac mortgage companies and big banks $300 billion with no strings attached. Both Democrat and Republican parties need to wake up. I didn’t vote Democrat or Republican.

Jobs shipped overseas: auto parts, clothing, tools, shoe manufacturing, building material and others. In all these restructuring plans I have never heard either party mention all the jobs we lost overseas.

As for buying American, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have been using foreign made parts on their automobiles for years. I get a kick out of people saying if you don’t buy from the Big Three you are not buying American. How little these people know. Wake up, America.

Get rid of all the lobbyists or get rid of the House of Representatives and Senate. We don’t need three groups of people to make laws. Neither party has tried to control the high cost of living in this country.

The overpaid CEOs, the big bankers and Wall Street brokers have done a nice job of breaking the economy.
