I have lived in this town since my oldest son was in first grade. I have done many things and volunteered my services for many organizations.
Four years ago I found a church out of Morenci, for in needing help, I went through many attitudes of people. For over two years, Jesus showed me “love your neighbor as yourself.” I laughed for nearly two years. I said half the people must not love themselves for they surely don’t love their own neighbor.
Then God taught me we are to love others the way Jesus loves us; be patient with them, forgive others the way he forgives us. I kept saying, “OK , God, why are you showing me this, why not those who are already pastors?”
God says we will always have poor people and those needing help. I am a loving and compassionate person. I have always shared what I had or could give others (not the attitude of some people in our town, “Oh, we can’t help you for Christmas, you don’t live here, even if your address is here.”)
Remember we were put here for God’s will, not our own. So we are to be a cheerful giver and not complain.
I have health issues. I’m on over 500 medications a month. Two of my doctors and two of my nurses said I was a candidate for a fund raiser since I need about $19,000 or a repossessed trailer to be dropped at my address. Then we will know that was God’s plan.
I sent one letter to an organization and got told I was a deserving person but they denied me. I told my doctors it depended on who you are and what your status is to whether or not Morenci does a fund raiser for you.
Two years ago I was reading a book and threw my hands in the air and said, “Thank you, Jesus” for telling me that all the people who think they are better than others, holier than thou, nobody is better than anyone else, as God says every person has to be forgiven daily of their sins like anyone else.
So if any of you want to help me, you know where I live. When you do things for others, be sure you do it for the right reason.
