While I wasn’t able to attend the forum Tuesday at the National Guard Armory, I wanted to use this opportunity to express my support, as a veteran, for State Representative Dudley Spade.
Rep. Spade has a record of protecting our troops, our veterans and their families. When he found out that our troops were paying big fees and getting rate increases because their car insurance lapsed while they were on active duty, he stood up to the insurance companies, said, “No more,” and passed a law to protect our young men and women in arms. He has also worked to pass a bill that helps veterans move to civilian life by acknowledging that training for and earning a commercial drivers’ license in the service should make it easier for our vets to get a CDL when they come home.
We need to send Rep. Spade back to Lansing for another term so he can continue his work protecting our veterans.
