Betty Caswell, 80, of Okemos, Mich., (formerly of California) died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at her home.

She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Nalvy and Gertrude (Triplett) Lamb. On June 9, 1946, in Calipatria, Calif., she married Leland N. Caswell.  He preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1987.

Betty was a licensed vocational nurse, living most of her life in California. She retired from nursing in 1982 after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Calipatria Community Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in California.

Betty is survived by two daughters, Leanna (and Mike) Malloy of Temecula, Calif., and Cynthia (and Richard) Miranda of Okemos; two sons, Terry (and Carolyn) Caswell of Holtville, Calif., and Mark (and Carol) Caswell of Las Vegas, Nev.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanett Butler; and a brother, Dwight Lamb, both of California.

Besides her husband, Leland, Betty was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside service are scheduled at noon Monday, June 11, at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci, with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.
