Jeffery Wallace Johnston, 55, of Chesterfield Township, Ohio, died Friday, July 8, 2011, at home, accompanied by his loving family.
He was born May 5, 1956, in Wauseon, Ohio, the son of Wallace and Barbara (D’Lamater) Johnston. On Feb. 3, 2004, in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Cynthia Stoops and she survives.
Jeff lived all of his life in Chesterfield Township and was a graduate of Evergreen High School. He was employed at General Broach in Morenci, Mich., as a grinder operator.
Besides his wife, Jeff is survived by a son, Matthew, of Wauseon; two daughters, Marissa (and Aaron) Schmidt of Wauseon and Katherine Johnston of Swanton, Ohio; a grandson, Kellen Schmidt; his mother, Barbara Johnston of Wauseon; three sisters, Kathleen (and Brad) Kebschull of Wauseon, Dawn Pontious of Wauseon and Laurie (and Kevin) Hall of Morenci; and many nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci, with Pastor Tim Sonnenberg officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
