Dale R. Lantz, 95, of Osseo, Mich., and formerly of Archbold, Ohio, died July 6, 2011, at his home.
He was born June 13, 1916, in Pettisville, Ohio, the son of Ammon and Erma (Buehrer) Lantz. He married Anna Rose “Jo” Leu on Sept. 2, 1950, and she survives.
Dale worked at Dinner Bell in Archbold. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Pettisville American Legion Post 445.
In addition to his wife, Dale is survived by one brother, Robert Lantz of Archbold; two sisters, Ruth Lantz of Pettisville and Opal Lauber of Wauseon, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilbur, Emerson, Edwin and Eugene; and a sister, Marge Stickley.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fairlawn Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Cramer officiating. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Archbold American Legion B.L.W. Post 311. Visitation is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fairlawn Chapel.
