Jean Borton, 80, of Morenci, Mich., died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at home.
She was born Sept. 17, 1930, in Chesterfield Twp. Ohio, the daughter of Herbert and Margaret (Stites) Double. On Dec. 30, 1966, in Nashville, Tenn., she married Larry Borton and he survives.
Jean has lived in the Morenci area all of her life. She attended the Medina Federated Church. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed at Wauseon Wire in Wauseon, Ohio. Jean was a member of the Morenci Eagles Aerie #1297 and the Morenci American Legion Auxiliary Post #368.
Besides her husband, Jean is survived by four daughters, Sherrie (and Richard) Hewitt of Morenci, Pamela (and Peter) Rau of Morenci, Erma Jane Schultz of Hudson, Mich., and Susan (and Dale) Hassenzahl of Delta, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson on the way.
Jean was preceded in death by parents; her first husband, Frank Schultz, in 1959; two sisters, Betty Dilyard and Mildred Miller; and three brothers, Arthur, J. Roger, and Wayne Double.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci, with Darren Lemmon officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation is planned from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday.
