The evening program provided a mix of stories, songs, dancing, crafts and snacks Monday evening. The program is offered at 5:30 p.m. every Monday for five more weeks. The program is designed for three to five year olds and their family.

Kuykendall, Joan

Joan “Joann” Kuykendall, 73 of Hernando, Fla., died May 13, 2010, in Tampa, Fla.

She was born Nov. 18, 1936, in Addison, Mich., daughter of the late Arthur and Virgie (Snyder) Burns.

Joann was a longtime resident of Morenci, Mich., and retired from Morenci Rubber Products before moving to Florida. Her hobbies included softball, camping, fishing and crocheting.

Joann is survived by her husband, George R. Kuykendall of Hernando, Fla.; two sons, Randy (and Sue) Clement of Morenci, and Mark Clement of Lake Worth, Fla.; four daughters, Donna (and Tom) Hecht of Litchfield, Mich., Shirley (and Jeff) Zieler of Temperance, Mich., Jackie (and Kevin) Meyers of Archbold, Ohio, and Joy (and Sid) Schutkey of Stryker, Ohio; a brother, Jim Burns, of Mexico; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Robert, Richard, Jerry, Loyd, Leroy, and Johnny; and three sisters, Lowella, Virginia, and Betty.

A memorial service will be scheduled at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci this summer.

Arrangements were handled by Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes.
