Nora McClain, 72, of Clayton, Mich., died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian, Mich.
She was born April 26, 1937, in Hudson, Mich., the daughter of Simon and Bertha (Welch) Taylor. On July 2, 1954, in Angola, Ind., she married Kenneth McClain. He preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1999.
Nora was formerly employed at Perminear in Hillsdale, Mich., Michael Manufacturing in Addison, Mich., and also worked at the Daily Telegram in Adrian. Nora was a very loving and affectionate person to be around.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (and Lee) Boss of Toledo, Ohio, and Sandy (and Jerry) Rogers of Clayton; a son, Kenneth McClain, Jr. of Toledo; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Phyllis Cox, of Alabama.
Besides her husband, Nora was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Florence Stewart, Kathryn Mason and Doris Clark; a granddaughter, Charity Poley; and a brother, Vernon Taylor, in infancy.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci, with Rev. Lloyd Jewett officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
