Malchow, Robert

Robert P. Malchow, 67, of Waldron, Mich., died Oct. 29, 2007, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.

He was born June 10, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Albert and Marjorie (Myers) Malchow. He married Linda Youtzy in Fayette, Ohio, on Feb. 12, 1994, and she survives.

Bob graduated from Hilltop High School in 1958. He worked at TRW in Fayette as a supervisor from 1975 until 1999, when he retired due to health reasons. He enjoyed being outside and mowing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Besides his wife, Bob is survived by two daughters, Lisa (and Scott) Hayes of Pioneer, Ohio, and Laura (and Jeff) Clingaman of Stryker, Ohio; one stepson, Shane (and Karen) Jarrell of Zeeland, Mich.; children, Dawn Kuszmaul, Kelly Bowers and Eric Malchow; 10 grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Lou Wall.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette, with Rev. Gene Zugg officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette.

Visitation is planned from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
