The evening program provided a mix of stories, songs, dancing, crafts and snacks Monday evening. The program is offered at 5:30 p.m. every Monday for five more weeks. The program is designed for three to five year olds and their family.

Talmage, Donald

Donald N. Talmage, 84, formerly of George St., Fayette, Ohio, died Feb. 5, 2006 at Harborside Healthcare in Swanton, Ohio.

He was born Nov. 3, 1921 in Whitehouse, Ohio, to Clyde and Lelia (Perry) Talmage. He married Alfreda Gillen on July 11, 1953 and she preceded him in death April 1, 2003.

Don served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Fayette American Legion John Dale Post #143 and Whitehouse American Legion Post #384. He was also a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Fayette, Ohio.

Don is survived by two step-daughters, Doris Kennedy of Daytona, Fla., and Patricia (and Joe) Snider of Fayette; two stepsons, Joseph (and Dorothy) Brodbeck of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Robert James Brodbeck of Toledo, Ohio; one sister, Doris Esch of Holland, Ohio; one brother, Clifford Talmage of Elk Rapids, Mich.; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Fayette. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery in Lyons, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mercy church. Arrangements were handled by Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette.
