Mabel “Scottie” Dunbar, 103, of Lyons, Ohio, died Feb. 2, 2006 at Heartland of Wauseon, Ohio.
She was born March 2, 1902 in Blantyre, Scotland, the daughter of Hugh and Isabel (Laing) Houston. She married James “Bill” Dunbar in Delta, Ohio, on July 2, 1921 and he preceded her in death in 1972.
Mabel was a homemaker who lived in the Lyons area most of her life. She was a member of the Lyons Christian Church.
Mabel is survived by a daughter, Joy (and Francis) Arquette of Lyons; two grandsons, James and John Arquette, and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son in infancy, five sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services were Feb. 4 at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Rev. Jack VanArsdall and Rev. Brent Pomeroy officiating. Burial was in Lyons Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
