Fayette school’s non-certified staff members have a two-year contract in place following a special board of education meeting June 19.
Board members approved a contract through June 30, 2014, with employees represented by the Ohio Association of Public School Employees.
The two-year pact calls for a $500 wage increase the first year for the 13 employees and a $750 increase the second year, with no step increases. Employee insurance premiums will remain at five percent for the two years and accumulated sick days will increase from 230 to 235 days.
The board met in a closed session for nearly two hours to continue interviewing candidates for the superintendent/elementary principal position.
The board was scheduled to meet in another special session yesterday (Tuesday) for interviewing.
