FSA committee chosen 2012.01.25

Written by David Green.

Producers and farmland owners across the United States voted in the 2012 USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) elections in November to elect the FSA County Committees. Committee members serve a three-year term.

The Committee in each county or area of counties, is responsible for overseeing many of the Federal farm programs administered by the county staff of the USDA Farm Service Agency.

Paul Holman of Oakshade in Royalton Township was newly elected and will replace Larry Carroll. Holman will serve on the FSA Committee with Robert Weimer of the Waterville/Whitehouse area who was reëelected for a second term.  Other members of the Fulton-Lucas Committee include Corwin Rufenacht, Don Fritsch, Jeff Simon and Laurie VonSeggern.

For more information about the FSA Committee system or farm programs, contact your local FSA office or visit http://www.fsa.usda.gov.
