Three teen-agers from Edon, Ohio, were seriously injured in a two-car crash Thursday night on U.S. 20 two miles west of Fayette.
The driver of the car, Anna Baugh, 16, was turning into a driveway about 6:20 p.m. when she was struck by a tractor-trailer that was also eastbound. A report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the driver of the semi rig, David Wesolek of Buffalo, N.Y., attempted to pass the Baugh vehicle as it crossed the centerline to enter the driveway.
Baugh was taken to Toledo Hospital and listed in critical condition. Her passengers were both taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Stephanie Armbruster, 18, was listed in critical condition and Brook Schwartz, 16, was in serious condition.
The girls were driving to the Fayette-Edon basketball game.
