The Fayette Area Chamber of Commerce kicked off its series of meetings at member’s locations May 19 at Phantom Fireworks.
Following the Chamber’s business meeting, Phantom manager Laurie Beaverson gave a tour of the building and explained the packaging of fireworks that’s done at the business.
Beaverson spoke about the company’s emphasis on safety and pointed out the store displays that demonstrate safe use of fireworks.
A video produced by the parent company was shown that highlights how Phantom Fireworks has grown over the past 20 years.
Beaverson said the business is approaching its busy season when extra employees are hired leading up the July 4 holiday. The store is already operating from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The next Chamber meeting is scheduled June 16 at Cork’s Winery.
