Stair Public Library receives youth grant 07.21.10
The Lenawee Youth Council, a program of the Lenawee Community Foundation, awarded $1,000 toward Stair Public Library’s Summer Reading Program.
Members of the council select the winners of the grants which must be used to benefit young people in Lenawee County.
“This grant makes a big difference in our ability to offer an enriching summer program,” said director Colleen Leddy.
According to the foundation’s website, the Lenawee Youth Council is made up of youths ages 12 to 21 who are interested in helping their community, exhibit leadership skills and personal growth, willing to accept the responsibilities of LYC members, both listen to and share their opinions with others, make a commitment and follow through with tasks, and represent the diversity of youth in Lenawee County.
