An early morning crash last week resulted in four injuries, with one victim transported by LifeFlight.
A Chevy Malibu driven by Leslie Uphaus, 21, of Ann Arbor, was heading westbound on Morenci Road when her vehicle was struck by a Ford Ranger pickup driven by William Finney, 20, of Hudson. The accident occurred at the intersection with Munson Highway and was reported at 1:08 a.m. July 15.
Lt. Jeff Erway of the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department said the Lempfert vehicle apparently failed to stop at the intersection while traveling northbound and struck the Malibu in the area of the driver’s door.
Uphaus was transported by LifeFlight emergency helicopter to the University of Toledo Medical Center. Her passenger, Stephen Clos, 20, of Ann Arbor, was taken to the Fulton County Health Center by the Morenci Area EMS.
Finney and his passenger, James Lempfert of Pittsford, were also transported to the Fulton County Health Center. Lempfert is the owner of pickup but was not driving.
The accident remains under investigation.
