A Morenci resident finished third in the Michigan State Bowling Association women’s competition in all-events standings.

Kristal Shadbolt competed in the state tournament for the first time in April and came through with a score of 2,490.

She teamed with former Lyons resident Nicole Drennan to finish third in their division in the doubles event, with a score of 1,569.

The tournament runs from January through June and the final results were recently announced.
