Alyssa Vereecke and Jacob Shumaker have announced their engagement.

Alyssa is the daughter of Jeffrey and Karen Vereecke of Adrian. She is a piano teacher and will attend Moody Bible Institute.

Jacob is the son of Thomas and Joanne Shumaker of Swanton, Ohio. He is currently attending Moody Bible Institute pursuing a degree in biblical languages.

The couple is planning a June 5, 2010,  wedding at the Croswell Opera House in Adrian.
