A Morenci student is among 15 LISD TECH pupils who earned top-five finishes at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) regional competition Jan. 8.

Those students are now eligible to compete at the state event March 18-21 in Grand Rapids.

Morenci junior Corey Williams placed fourth in the computer information concepts division.

The competition took place at Henry Ford Community College and 40 Lenawee students participated.

BPA is a national career technical student organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields. BPA has more than 51,000 members in 2,300 chapters in 23 states.
