Fayette library gains some Saturday hours 11.11.09

A school grant for academic enrichment  activities will help more than Fayette students. Patrons of Normal Memorial Library will also see a benefit.

The 21st Century Community Learning Centers program will pay for a variety of enrichment activities and many of those will be scheduled in the library on Saturday mornings.

This will allow the library to be open again for 20 Saturday mornings through April.

In September, the library was forced to eliminate Saturday hours due to state budget cuts.

The 21st Century funding will restore open hours from 10 a.m. until noon on the following Saturdays:

Nov. 14, 21;

Dec. 5, 12, 19;

Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30;

Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27;

Mar. 3, 10, 17, 24;

Apr. 3, 10, 17.
