Michigan law requires children to have vision and hearing screenings before entering kindergarten.

The Lenawee County Health Department and the Michigan Department of Community Health will provide free vision and hearing screenings for children from age three through kindergarten during the month of August. After that time, parents will have to make arrangement with private practitioners.
