Written by David Green.

Popular entertainer Kevin Devine will perform at 7 p.m. July 22 at the Waldron school multipurpose room. His visit was arranged through the Waldron District Library.

There is no cost to attend the performance due to partial funding by the Benge Library Fund of the Hillsdale County Community Foundation.

The Ann Arbor resident is known as  singer and songwriter who gives “rollicking participatory family concerts.”

He has recorded five children’s music albums and several of his songs have been used on television shows.

Refreshments will be served follows the performance.

The Benge Library Fund also gave money for the purchase of several new children’s books.

The summer reading program continues each Thursday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. with the “Be Creative@Your Library” theme. Music, cooking, gardening, photography and dance are still coming up on the schedule.
