Gem and Mineral show coming 5.28.09

The Stateline Gem & Mineral Society’s 48th annual Jewelry, Rock, Gem and Mineral show is scheduled June 5, 6 and 7 in the Junior Fair Building at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. This year’s theme is “Rocks: their Myths and Legends.” Admission is free.

Educational demonstrations are planned throughout the weekend including cabochon cutting, silver casting, soapstone carving, flint knapping, beading, wire wrapping, spool knitting, faceting and glass fusing.

Rock, mineral, fossil and crystal collections will be on display, a bead rally is planned, and dealers will be on hand. Children’s activities are also scheduled.

The show will be open from noon to 7 p.m. June 5; from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. June 6; and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7.

The Fulton County Fairground is located on State Route 108, north of the Ohio Turnpike, in Wauseon.
