Home care and general assistance is offered by a Morenci resident in a new business starting up.
Ann Emmons is using her experience from working in an assisted living facility in Adrian to begin a service she’s calling Helping Hands.
“I want to provide an affordable service so people can stay in their homes and maintain some independence,” she said.
She’s offering help ranging from an occasional need—running errands, transporting to a doctor, etc.—to longer term care. She’s available for an overnight stay if needed.
Her service could also be valuable to someone who is back at home following surgery, she said.
Emmons learned CPR techniques and first aid at her present job, and has experience administering medications and working with Alzheimer’s disease patients.
An advertisement highlighting her services is on page four of this week’s Observer.
