Fayette mayor wants a village seal 3.18.09

Written by David Green.

If there were an official seal for the Village of Fayette, what would it look like?

That’s a question Fayette’s acting mayor Craig Rower wants citizens to answer. He’s started a seal design contest that will lead to a prize for the winner.

Rower asks residents to consider these questions: What does Fayette have to offer? What makes Fayette stand out among other communities? Why do you enjoy living in Fayette? What should the Seal of Fayette show to represent the village?

Entries should be submitted on an 8.5 by 11-inch sheet of paper with the designer’s name, address and phone number on the back.

Entries should be taken to the village office at 125 W. Main Street by May 22.
