Fayette FFA members recently competed in two competitions.

The Parliamentary Procedure team placed third at the district competition, just one place from qualifying for the state competition.

The team had to conduct and run a formal business meeting and answer questions about parliamentary procedure.

Team members are Kalley Martin, Amanda Gilmore, Dakota Shay, Darrell Randall, Parker Stockburger, Ben Kovar, Jessie Torres, Jake West, Clay Burkholder and Reba Rash.

In the job interview competition, Taylor Curry and Amanda Gilmore both advanced to the district contest. Contestants went through job interviews and wrote thank-you letters following the interview. Curry placed fourth.

The Fayette FFA was in charge of Christmas Cheer this year for the Fayette School District. The school collected 1,786 non-perishable goods to donate to the Christmas Cheer efforts of Fulton County.

The seniors won the class competition with 285 items from only 20 students.

The FFA officer team delivered the donations to the Fulton County Fair Grounds and helped sort and hand out the food collected.

The next Fayette FFA Alumni meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. Jan. 26 in the high school agriculture room.
