An Adrian man was sentenced to prison last week after a guilty plea in a drunk driving incident.

Lancelot Jeffrey Zimmerman, 20, faces from 23 to 60 months in prison after a guilty plea to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, causing death.

Zimmerman was driving a vehicle east on Weston Road in August 2007 and failed to negotiate the curve near Elliott Highway. His passenger, Justin Hoffman, was ejected from the vehicle when it rolled over. Hoffman, 18, died a week later from injuries.

Zimmerman was sentenced in Judge Timothy Pickard’s circuit court.
