Fayette community garage sales planned 4.30

Written by David Green.

The Fayette Area Chamber of Commerce has scheduled the annual community-wide garage sale during Memorial Day weekend. The sale will be promoted for Thursday, May 22, through Saturday, May 24.

Anyone who would like to have a garage sale listed as part of the community-wide garage sales must apply for a permit at the Fayette Village Office by May 8. There is no charge for the permit. The Village office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Fayette merchants are encouraged to participate by running a Garage Sale Special—a specially marked product at a retail store or a special meal or item at a restaurant, for example.

During the week of May 12, the Chamber will advertise the sale. All residents who filed for a permit and any merchant specials will be promoted in the advertisements.

For more information or to have a merchant special included in the advertising, call Suzy Sommers at 237-2854.
