Santa to visit Fayette Dec. 15 12.5

Written by David Green.

Santa will have a new location this year when he stops in Fayette to visit with children.

St. Nick will make an appearance from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 15 inside the old ticket booth on the Village Green. Santa’s Workshop on the Village Green will include his helpers who will make sure each visitor receives a treat.

Either before or after a visit with Santa, visitors are welcomed into the opera house to warm up with soup and a sandwich. The meal serves as a Bullthistle Committee fund raiser to help cover costs of the annual festival. The meal cost is $5.

The Fayette Community Band and Chorus will present a concert that same night at 7:30. Director Karen Joy King will lead the groups in a variety of musical entertainment—and with a variety of musical instruments.

Look for additional details in next week’s Observer.

The Parkers Corners store, featuring the work of area crafters, will remain open throughout the dinner and concert.
