Edna Mae Rapton, 69, of Wauseon, Ohio, formerly of Fayette, Ohio, died Feb. 28, 2006 at Heartland of Wauseon.

She was born Dec. 4, 1936 in Harrogate, Tenn., to Lonnie and Cledia (Payne) Cosby. She retired from Smith’s Restaurant in Wauseon in 2002 with more than 13 years of service. She attended the Wauseon Worship Center.

Edna is survived by three sons, Joseph (and Barbara) Mata, Jr., and William (and Faye) Mata, both of Monroe, Mich., and Kyle Krueger of Fayette; one daughter-in-law, Wendy (and Rodney) Kessler of Fayette; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Nicholas Mata and Leslie Mata.

Funeral services were March 2 at Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette with Pastor Jim Moden officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice  of Williams and Fulton Counties.
